Day 30: A Vineyard Affair

Saturday, April 30, 2011

The vineyard: a classic venue and theme sure to never go out of style. Regardless of location, RD I Do can help you bring the timeless elements of the vineyard to your wedding.

Statement purples, taupes, tans, and a deep evergreen or a bolder clover can help to brighten up the palette of this classic color theme. All of these colors come together beautifully in this save-the-date from our collection at RD I Do. Its elegance and simplicity fits the vineyard theme so seamlessly and could be used as inspiration for the entire theme.

Invitations for a Vineyard inspired wedding should be consistent in color and twisted vines with a classic cursive script can set an elegant tone, even for an outdoor ceremony and reception. You could also consider keeping the setting or décor the focus and keeping the invitations sleek and simple.

Keeping with the vineyard theme, a personalized wine bottle makes an excellent parting gift for guests. We can etch a bottle of your favorite wine with anything from a monogram, to your names, or personalize them for each member of the wedding party. With such a special and unique bottle, you know they will keep this token of appreciation long after the reception has ended.

An endless summer tradition can seamlessly transform into a beautiful wedding that no guest could forget. A carnival theme incorporates bright colors, playful accessories, and yes, even romance! If you’re looking for a theme that’s fun, colorful, unique, and one that your guests will never forget, then a Carnival theme is perfect for you!

The invitations can set the mood for your wedding, giving guests an impression of how much fun the Big Day will be through the use of bright colors and the idea of carnival fun. The inspiration for your invites could be admission tickets, old-fashioned carnival posters, or just incorporating the colors that you choose. Here at RD I Do, we’re able to work with you to create a completely unique and custom design, giving you invitations that you can’t wait to send out.

A fabulous accent to any Carnival wedding is a candy buffet. We can order monogrammed and custom candy and glass jars for you to make your display look top-notch. Day 26: Puppy Love

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Maybe you once had movie dates and saw “The Doberman Gang” or “101 Dalmatians” or maybe you met at the park while walking with your dogs. If you believe that your love of dogs is the reason you found your true love, consider celebrating your marriage by featuring the creature that brought the two of you together. Revolving an entire wedding around dogs might easily allow you to get carried away, so it’s important to approach the theme in a simple and delicate way with some whimsical and cute doggy details to insure that you don’t go overboard.

Kick off your theme with a dog-bone shaped save-the-date card. RD I Do’s creative team can help you come up with a logo to personalize every aspect of your wedding, as well as think of fun verbiage for the card. Some creative ideas include, “We would love to throw you a bone and invite you to our wedding”, or “Our little puppy cant wait to see you in the wedding”.

The puppy love theme can be woven through all of the details on your wedding day. In lieu of a traditional escort card table, consider hanging individual dog tags for each guest under their assigned table, which of course are named after different dog breeds! Another fun detail is using customized dog plates in place of plain dishes.

Little “doggie bags” with custom labels are an adorable guest favor. Fill them with dog shaped cookies or candy leashes for a fun treat to thank your guests for celebrating with you.
It may sound like an odd theme, but a dog themed wedding can be very fun and interesting with the help of RD I Do’s talented team.

Day 25: Starry Night

Monday, April 25, 2011

A clear night with the moon and stars sounds could be a perfect and romantic start to start your forever after. Deep blues, silvers, and shimmering accents can be used to incorporate this romantic theme into any aspect of your wedding. RD I Do can work with you to brand your wedding with the night sky and infuse it into every detail.

For a celestial wedding, the most important thing to do is create the right atmosphere. At RD I Do, we’re able to order essentials such as table linens, centerpieces, and accessories that will have your guests feeling like they’re in among the stars. Low lighting and candles will emphasize the peaceful beauty of the cosmos, and dark blue linens will make the accents stand out. We can provide you with etched glass to heighten the drama and candleholders that sparkle like twinkling stars.

Invitations can be blatantly celestial, with embossed stars and comets, or subtle in their incorporation of the theme with pearlescent paper and metallic accents. Because RD I Do is a division of Rizzi Designs, a full marketing firm, we have vast experience designing all kinds of print materials, and invitations are no exception! No design is too big or small for us to work on. After all, it’s your day and we want to help you make it shine above the rest!

Day 24: Mr. and Mrs.

Sunday, April 24, 2011

Your Big Day is about the two of you creating your ever after. After the ceremony, you'll be referred to as Mr. and Mrs. so it only seems fitting to incorporate this into the theme of your wedding. The Mr. & Mrs. theme can be used on your invitations, save-the-dates, favors, and even coffee mugs! Pictured below is just one example of a save-the-date including this fun and unique theme.

This theme can be incorporated onto address labels to inform guests of your new address or to add to your thank you cards for that extra special touch, reminding people of the theme of your wedding.

Day 23: What Happens in Vegas….May or May Not Stay There

Saturday, April 23, 2011

A “destination wedding” location is often thought to be a beach or a romantic city such as Paris or Venice. You can save bundles on travel costs and stay right here in the U.S. There are plenty of fun cities to see and enjoy! None, however, can be quite like LAS VEGAS.
Yes, the dream site of bachelor and bachelorette parties can also be the perfect destination for your wedding! This city has grown to be much more than a place to run-off to and elope. There are a multitude of different venue options, from the gorgeous Bellagio, to the quaint little chapels (with or without Elvis). RD I Do can help you turn your Las Vegas wedding into the event of the year through your save the dates, invitations, accessories, gifts, and favors.

This simple save the date design is perfect for your Las Vegas destination wedding! It gives guests a glance at the Las Vegas fun and excites them for your upcoming ceremony. This save the date can also be perfect for a Vegas themed wedding, if a destination wedding in the actual city is not option.

You can also incorporate the location of your wedding through parting favors. You can give your guests decks of cards with a monogram, date, or even designed with the event colors to make your favors unique and memorable. Cards capture the exciting and energetic spirit of the city and can be useful for years to come!

Poker chips can also be a creative way to incorporate the Las Vegas details into your wedding. Personalize each chip with names and dates, and use them as simple and unique decorations or incorporate them into your seating chart for the reception.

Remember to make all your wedding details extravagant, over the top and colorful to bring the spirit of the city to your big day! Whether or not Elvis officiates is a decision we’ll leave up to you!

Friday, April 22, 2011

If you do not want to choose a wedding theme, you can choose a color scheme to incorporate into the wedding details. When paired with the most classic of colors like silver or white, your wedding could easily become a visual feast.

Using only colors as the basis for your the theme of your wedding gives you more choices for every element in your wedding. Blue is easy to include into all aspects of your wedding day. Day 21: Rustic Enchantment

Thursday, April 21, 2011

Not everyone imagines their Big Day in the center of a ballroom with chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings. An outdoor wedding is an opportunity to focus on natural details and make them more noticeable through dramatic lighting and more relaxed floral arrangements. Chalkboard signs are a great DIY project that will contribute to the theme and photo booths are a big hit at weddings in any location! Let your imagination run wild with this theme and work with your location to choose details that fit the place and relaxed theme of your wedding

For a wedding with an outdoorsy feel, consider using a simple invitation. This invitation uses recycled papers and features wildflowers along the bottom. This natural look is great for your rustic wedding theme and can be customized to perfectly reflect your personalities.

In keeping with your rustic theme, send your guests home with a jar of homemade jam or honey. With a custom label designed by RD I Do, everyone will love remembering the good time they had at your wedding while enjoying the treat. Not only will these favors be a great treat for your guest, they’ll fit in perfectly with your decor.

Day 20: The Most Romantic Day of the Year

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

The romantic mood of Valentine's Day arrives just as nature is beginning to stir from its winter's sleep. It is a time of hope and expectation; a cheerful reminder that spring will soon be here with its promise of warm sunny days ahead. It is the perfect time for a wedding.
Here at RD I Do, we love Valentine’s Day! We’re sure that you are eager to share this big and happy news with everyone. A calendar save-the-date card is a great idea for you, with a heart on your wedding day to remind your guests when they will be able to celebrate with you.

A heart shaped invitation card for a Valentine wedding is a simple choice. The bold red color with white words shows a simple but romantic combination that reflects the theme perfectly.

On Valentine’s Day, love should be seen in every detail. To be consistent with the invitations, you could use red and white as your color palette. With the right elements, your wedding can be a romantic and beautiful experience for everyone. Candles burning in glistening candelabras will set the mood and other lighting should be kept dim. Use soft, gauzy fabrics and add traditional romantic icons such as hearts and roses to your decor. For example, attaching dozens of balloons around a large heart shaped frame with room for messages might be a good choice for your guestbook.
While your Valentine’s Day wedding will always be a special memory for you, favors to guests will become an everlasting memory to them. At RD I Do, we will have endless options for you such as heart-shaped bottle openers, heart cookie cutters or heart-shaped wine bottle stoppers. You can personalize any of these favors with your unique monogram or logo.

Valentine’s Day represents love for everyone and with the help of RD I Do, your special love will be remembered forever.

Day 19: True to your Heritage

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Culture and heritage are as important to incorporate into your wedding as they are to you.Today’s theme is focused on culture and heritage. You can incorporate your country flag as a background image on your invitations or save-the-dates, or simply use the colors represented in that flag. You can personalize your wedding by using your family crest as well: on invitations, save-the-dates, or even etched on glasses for your reception or as favors or gifts for your bridal party. To go along with the theme, choose colored paper and fonts that best represent your culture and heritage. The options are endless.

You can also integrate your culture and heritage without making it the central theme to your wedding. Try something simple and subtle, like this invitation pictured above that features an elegant Celtic border with embossed pearl highlights.

Be as creative as you want to be! No idea is impossible to create and RD I Do can help make all your ideas a reality, creating the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

Day 18: Fun, Fresh and Fruity

Monday, April 18, 2011

Citrus seems to be a theme that is gaining popularity. From lemons and limes to oranges and strawberries, this theme is wide open for personal interpretation and preferences. Incorporate your own ideas while keeping the colors bold, fun and most importantly, fresh!

This invitation features the exciting color scheme and theme without making it look like something you’d see in a produce ad for your nearby grocery store. The shapes are similar to fruit, but more sophisticated.

A fun way to include this theme in your wedding details is through the centerpieces.
Use sliced fruit to line the edges of your personalized vases from RD I Do or creatively place the fresh fruit inside the vase with water and flat marbles or pebbles to add a trendy and unique look to your table centerpieces.

Add the citrus-based theme to your napkins as well by using bright and vibrant colors to match your theme. You can even stamp the napkins with your personalized monogram or include your names and the date of your big day to add that extra special touch!

The options are endless and nothing is impossible. Be creative!

Day 16: Plum, Berry, Royal, and Grape: Pick your Purple

Saturday, April 16, 2011

The combination of warm red and cool blue makes Purple an excellent choice for monochromatic color schemes. You can choose a cooler shade to enhance the elegance, rosier tints to invoke the feeling of love, or mix and match to embrace all sides of the color! The deeper the purple, the more drama and romance will be conveyed through the wedding, while lighter shades of purple will communicate enchantment and innocence.

The table your guests are seated at should be one of your main areas of focus. Guests will be spending a lot of time at their table so be sure to dress your tables to impress. RD I Do can order linens in the color of your choice to cover the tables at the reception and coordinate centerpieces that fit the feel of your wedding.

When using a monochromatic color scheme, the most important thing to remember in your designs is to choose shades of the color that, when layered, will enhance one another. This layering impacts every detail of the wedding; invitations, favors, décor, etc. Our design team’s eye for color will ensure that the tones you choose mesh well and will fit your vision for your wedding. Day 15: Literature, Life and Love

Friday, April 15, 2011

Incorporating your favorite book or a book you and your fiance both love can be the theme for your wedding.

With such a creative theme, you can use Antique styled bookmarks for your save the dates which will be a constant reminder of your approaching wedding whenever a guest opens their current read. The overall effect is to create something that looks old but still colorful, and bring the book idea to everyone as early as the save the date.
For the invitations, we have some other unique ideas for you such as a library card pocket. Inside the pocket, there are three things: an invitation card, a response card and an envelope. Your guests will have no problem figuring out your theme with this special invitation and they will be excited to see the other ways you have incorporated it into your big day.

With attention to detail, it’s easy to see how beautiful and unique your book themed wedding could be. The creative staff at RD I Do can help you come up with even more ways to move these book elements into you wedding day. A fantastic idea is to stack a pile of hardcover books and use them as the base for your floral arrangements for a centerpiece design.

Day 14: Chocolate and Champagne

Thursday, April 14, 2011

Having a classy reception isn't impossible on a tight budget; dessert-only receptions are gaining popularity and are an easy way to cut costs while letting your guests indulge in delicious treats.

Create a chocolate and champagne theme to add detail to this simple idea. Decadent chocolate fountains and bottles of bubbly will spread the fun around. A rich brown and pale gold color scheme is very tasteful as well.

Favor boxes can be filled with small, creatively wrapped chocolates or even pieces of cake; both make great take-home treats. Order the boxes in a gold color with a metallic ribbon to match your simple and classy color palette that goes along with the overall chocolate and champagne theme. Use various gold and brown shades throughout the reception décor to give some depth to this effortless look.

This trendy theme can also be incorporated into your invitations by choosing a brown ribbon or border and gold lettering in an elegant font style, using a personalized monogram created especially for you by the staff at RD I Do.

If champagne is going to be one the main elements of your big day, you want to be drinking in style! Special monogrammed or personalized flutes are perfect for not only the bride and groom, but for the entire wedding party.

Keep the bubbles flowing all night: Have your guests send you off with blowing bubbles! It’s less messy than seeds or petals and both young and old guests will love this fun and exciting addition to your special day! The best part about it? Your guests can take the bubbles home with them as well!

There are so many ways to expand on this chic theme idea; we look forward to hearing your ideas when you come in for a free consultation! Contact us today!

Day 13: Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

While the weather outside may be frightful, a winter wedding can be delightful! We all love to look at the fresh snow, but having to venture out into it is another story. Allow your guests to enjoy the beauty of the season without worrying about having to bring their hats and gloves. Using silver and white as your main colors with hints of blue brings the outdoors inside. Work with RD I Do’s great team to help customize every aspect of your theme and make it unique to who you and your fiance are.

For a winter wedding, your invitations should use cool colors to reflect the weather. Working with our in-house graphic design team, RD I Do can customize any invitation to be exactly what you want for your big day. Design a logo or monogram that can be used in every aspect of your wedding to brand your big day and pull everything together!

To ensure that your guests keep warm long after your celebration is over, give them mugs customized with your wedding logo and some hot chocolate mix to take home. They will be reminded of your wedding every winter as they curl up with the cup for years to come.

Thank your bridesmaids for sticking with you through the planning with a beautiful, cozy scarf. They’ll be able to wear it all winter and you can choose one to fit each of your friends’ personalities. Every time they bundle up to brave the cold, they’ll be reminded of the fun they had helping you plan and celebrate your marriage.

Day 12: Fall in love

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Falling in love can be represented by the beautiful scenery and deep, rich colors of the season. When considering colors for a fall themed wedding, most people will choose maple or another deep red color we see in Michigan's fall, but autumn can be represented by several bold colors coming together such as buttery gold, yellow green, dark brown and fiery red. Instead of choosing burnt oranges and maple, consider using a combination of dark brown and redd for your fall wedding colors.

A leaf shape can be incorporated in several elememts of the wedding including wedding invitations and favors and gifts. Invitations could be designed featuring a fall leaves graphic that uses your color palette and save the dates could be an autumn leaf magnet that your guests could place on their fridge to remind them of your upcoming celebration.

Incorporate your theme in other parts of the wedding by using items such as maple place card holders, fall leaf favor boxes, leaf bottle stoppers and autumn leaf shaped plates. Working with RD I Do gives you access to thousands of products, so you’re sure to find the perfect options to fit your vision. Our talented and welcoming team will provide you with personalized options guaranteed to make your fall wedding special and unforgettable.

Day 11: Summer Loving

Monday, April 11, 2011

A midsummer wedding can be a great way to use the beauty of the season to your advantage. During such a beautiful season, Old Town Manor is a great venue. With the lovely grass, lush greenery and colorful flowers, your dream summer wedding has been realized in this location.

When you think of summer, orange is one of the first colors that comes to mind. As the color of joy and friendship, orange will automatically bring cheer to your guests. Pairing orange with white can give your color scheme a fresh, clean feel.

Instead of sending out traditional save-the-date cards, work with RD I Do’s talented in-house graphic designers to create a fun sun-shaped magnet for your guests, along with a personalized monogram or logo. This monogram can be used in all aspects of your wedding, from invitations to cake toppers.
With RD I Do’s access to thousands of products, tons of options are waiting for you. A sunflower candle set is a great table decoration for your reception, while a topiary photo holder can be used to help guests find their table numbers.

An orange paper lantern can also be a great accessory for your wedding. The orange light coming from it can not only represent the sunset, but provide a warm ambience as well as look gorgeous inside a white reception tent.

Day 10: Spring and Weddings are in the Air

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Spring represents new beginnings: flowers bloom, wildlife emerges and nature flourishes; there is no better time to celebrate your new beginnings and new love with friends and family than spring!
A traditional spring color scheme would be a pink palette, but you could put a twist on your spring wedding and try using other color combinations such as white and yellow or lavender and silver. These pastel tones complement each other and can bring a dreamy feel to your wedding. If you are considering having your celebration outdoors, the lavender color would look great against the blue sky, green grass and colorful flowers. Working with RD I Do, you can explore many color options to make your wedding distinct and beautiful.
From invitations to decorations, and from favors to gifts, RD I Do has access to thousands of products and can help you find the products to best fit your ideal wedding. Your invitations are your first chance to share your theme with your guests, so using your color scheme with floral accents or butterflies is a great idea. Working with RD I Do’s in-house graphic designers will allow you to perfectly customize your invitations to best represent your unique style.
Flowers and other spring icons such as butterflies can be incorporated into the wedding design in many aspects. From your linens to a cake topper, RD I Do can help customize all of the details of your wedding with an image or even with a personalized monogram.

Send your guests home with packets of lavender seeds customized with your monogram. They can plant the seeds at home and will always be able to remember your wedding when the fragrant blooms grow.

Day 9: Black and White and Love All Over

Saturday, April 9, 2011

Your wedding is a black tie affair, so incorporate these colors into your wedding! The simplicity of a black and white themed wedding can be very elegant when done correctly. Lighting and other added details can add extravagance and a sophisticated atmosphere for your celebration. Try adding in an accent color with your flowers or on your bridesmaid’s dresses to add a little something extra to your celebration.

For this theme, you can choose to use a simple or an elaborate invitation. After choosing which style best reflects your wedding, work with RD I Do’s in-house graphic designers to create a logo or monogram that perfectly reflects your unique style. Not only can this monogram be used on your save-the-dates and invitations, but it can be used on your cake, favors and even projected on the dance floor as a great way to “brand” your wedding and make it a cohesive event.

After a champagne toast, give your guests a champagne glass with your special monogram to take home as a reminder of the celebration. Include a special treat with the glasses such as personalized M&Ms. The RD I Do team can order all of the favors for your wedding, as well as incorporate your unique logo into anything.

Thank your bridesmaids for their never-ending support with a beautiful engraved necklace. They’ll be able to wear it everywhere and always remember how much they enjoyed celebrating your marriage.

Day 8: Magnificent Masquerade

Friday, April 8, 2011

A masquerade with elaborate masks and festive decorations can add a lot of fun and uniqueness to your wedding celebration. RD I Do can help you in many aspects of your celebration, beginning with choosing a color palette.

Add a little excitement to the theme by using exotic and bold purples, deep reds, white, black, gold and silver in your color scheme. By incorporating white feathers, purple candles, or using blue and green lighting, you can add texture and subtle contrast. The wedding will play out beautifully amongst these colors.

Let guests know from the beginning what the theme for your wedding will be by sending out mask-shape cards for your save-the-dates. Creative centerpieces are a necessity with this bold theme and RD I Do has the perfect resources to help you with this task. Instead of having vases filled with flowers, you could fill vases with feathers and colorful masks. Surrounding the vases with candles would create a beautiful visual for your reception.

For masquerade themed guest favors, a little Venetian mask is a great idea. Not only do they serve as cute decorations, they will always remind guests of your amazing celebration. Feathers are also a big part of the theme, and a feather pen is an elegant and useful option as well.
RD I Do has access to thousands of products to make sure that your wedding is a perfect reflection of you. Contact us to see how we can help you brand your wedding!

Day 7: Muted Elegance

Thursday, April 7, 2011

For a muted elegance theme, color schemes should be less saturated in appearance as opposed to simply pastel, and using a cool neutral like grey creates a charming palette that’s sure to please. Some colors to pair with grey are peach and peridot, dusty rose and cobalt, or plum and powder blue. The result is a simple elegance with a hint of whimsicality.

A palette as unique as this practically demands equally unique and beautiful details. At RD I Do, intricacies are our specialty! We pay attention to every aspect of the wedding and tie in your details down to the cufflinks and menu cards. Our creative design staff can even help you create custom labels with your personal monogram or design to be placed on favors, treats, or wine bottles. These labels are just one of the many services we offer to help brand your wedding in a way that makes it unforgettable.

Gifts for your bridal party should be simple and hint at the overall elegance you’re embracing in the wedding. Cufflinks make great gifts for the groomsmen with their simple sophistication, and bridesmaids will always appreciate a gift of delicate jewelry. Both gifts will have your bridal party thinking of your wedding day long after it passes, and they can be custom ordered from our boutique.

You can incorporate that fun pink color theme to any or all aspects of your wedding day. Take invitations, for example. RD I Do is willing to help with all your invitation needs, from styles and paper designs that fit into your pink theme, to the exact words you choose to share the news. Day 5: Swing Back to the '50s

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

The 1950’s was a time of the American dream, the family, soda shoppes, and fun music. Not only is this a creative and vintage theme, but it is also very easy to pull off and is open for individual creativity and personalization.

With a 50’s theme, there is no specific color family to stick with. A Google images search of “1950’s inspired weddings” yields lots of cherry red, but also aqua, lemon yellow, bold green, pink and purple. With this freedom of color choice, what will set apart a wedding as “50’s inspired”? All the little details of course!
Music was extremely popular during the 1950’s. The movie Grease and the popular TV show “American Bandstand” were all about the music. Hire a band to play some old 50’s hits that will surely get your guests on the dance floor swinging the night away! Keep the music feeling going by using old records as your centerpieces for a fun DIY project that RD I Do can help you implement. Elvis, Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra or Doris Day records can really help transport your guests back a few decades to that 50’s music era.

The 50’s were a fun and lighthearted era in American History as well. A wonderful way to capture this feeling is in an old-school candy bar for dessert or your favors. A retro gumball machine or jars of colorful rock candy will make your guests feel like a kid in an old-fashioned candy store. For drinks, use Jones soda as inspiration for bright bubbly drinks that can be personalized with a special label of names or engagement pictures. Incorporate your monogram with any of these ideas to add that extra special touch to your big day!

RD I Do is here to help you keep all your wedding accessories fun, fresh, and retro. Come in today for your free consultation and we can start “rockin' 'round the clock” to make sure your big day is perfect.

Day 4: Go Team Go!

Monday, April 4, 2011

As a Lansing-based business, Michigan State University is right in our backyard and we would love to work with all of the college sweethearts out there! Although East Lansing is our neighbor and many Spartan fans and alumni have their weddings on MSU's campus, RD I Do would love to work with couples from any school. Let our skilled in-house graphic designers create the perfect monogram or logo for your wedding and let RD I Do help you with a sweet ending to your college love story.

The color scheme for a school spirit themed wedding is simple: use your school’s colors. The school mascot or crest can be used to create a graphic for save-the-dates, or RD I Do’s talented in-house graphic designers could come up with a fun diploma style card.

With RD I Do’s access to thousands of products, the sky is the limit when it comes to choosing your invitations! We have many colors and styles to choose from, and with so many options, you are guaranteed to find something that perfectly fits your personality.

When your big day finally arrives, consider a cake topper that features a campus landmark, such as a clock tower. A great option for any wedding is using a chalkboard instead of stationery to serve as a guest book and seating chart. Place the chalkboards near the entrance to your reception and have guests use chalk markers to sign their names on one of the chalkboards. You can also place two small chalkboards on each table next to the centerpiece, one with the table number and one with the menu.

Day 3: Garden Party

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Flowers are an important part of every wedding, but they play an even bigger role in a garden party themed wedding. Those of you who are unable to pick a favorite flower can now incorporate several of your favorites! Having your wedding outdoors allows you to use nature's beauty as a backdrop for your ceremony or reception. Let Mother Nature help with your decor and choose your colors based on the season. Bold outdoor lighting can make your event even more special with paper lanterns, outdoor chandeliers and votives. While you work on getting your decor in order, let RD I Do focus on branding your wedding with a personalized logo or monogram. Created by our in-house graphic designers, your wedding logo can be used on all aspects of your wedding, tying everything together.

It’s easy to work in your theme on save-the-dates and invitations! Feature a fun font with colors to match your favorite flowers. RD I Do has in-house graphic designers who will help make sure that your invitation perfectly represents your image of your big day. A floral theme leads to a more romantic feel for your wedding, so let your invitations reflect that.

Let your guests take home a piece of your wedding with a personalized flower pot and packet of seeds to plant. Instead of something that won’t last, a flower pot will last forever and remind your guests of the great time they had celebrating with you. Your logo or monogram can be used on the flower pot to make your favor a cohesive part of your celebration.

After a long day in heels, give your bridal party a chance to rest their feet with personalized flip flops. They’ll appreciate the kind thought and will be able to dance all night! When the big day is over, treat them to a spa day to show them how grateful you are for their help and support.

Day 2: Love on the Orient Express

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Colors for an oriental wedding are typically red and yellow. Be careful with which colors you choose because white by itself is not appropriate. You can however, use white with other colors such as pink or red. When you have a consultation with the RD I Do team, you will have the opportunity to look through the many color options available to you and see what best suits your personality.

Instead of a traditional invitation card, considering using a scroll invitation. With textured paper for the scroll, red metal bars for framing and a golden tassel to tie the scroll and box, this invitation is a great way to showcase your oriental theme to your guests.

Due to the different customs, the favors in an oriental wedding will be different than a classic western wedding. But with the thousands of options RD I Do has to offer, you shouldn’t have a problem finding the perfect favors for your guests. Xitang (a kind of candy) is a great idea and we can help you create custom labels featuring your special monogram. Fortune cookies with specially designed red take-out boxes could also make your wedding special for guests. Of course, RD I Do’s in-house graphic designers can help you create a monogram or logo featuring any type of Asian characters. Another great gift example is a candle featuring a Chinese character. It is a very traditional wedding gift and is a perfect match to the oriental theme with the double happiness character on the side.

Day 1: Chic in the City

Friday, April 1, 2011

Pulling together a “City Chic” wedding is simple to do and the result is always classy. This wedding theme incorporates the classic combination of Black and White, but adds an unexpected, usually bright, color. Some of the more popular pigments to add are Fuchsia, Yellow, or Teal. Having this pop of color brings a bit of excitement and puts a modern spin on the Black and White feel. With this color scheme in a City Chic wedding, a bride can’t go wrong.

Black and White Damask patterns are perfect for this theme. They’re chic, elegant, and are really emphasized when the accent color is added. At RD I Do, we have products ranging from favor boxes to Guest books with various Damask patterns on them. What’s great about Damask is that the pattern can be bold or understated to match the feel of your wedding. Whether your personality reflects a more delicate elegance, or a rich sophistication, you can be sure we’ll find the perfect fit!

A personalized monogram just exudes the theme City Chic wedding. You can work with our team of experts to create the perfect monogram to incorporate into the details of your wedding. We can design Ceremony programs, Thank You cards, place setting cards, and table markers with your monogram to give a cohesive look to the entire day.

The best part of working with RD I Do is that our consultants will work with your budget to make your dreams a reality. You don’t have to be a Manhattan millionaire to have a fabulous and sophisticated wedding. Let our design staff prove it to you! Contact us to set up a personal appointment today, and we’ll show you how to make your wedding City Chic.
