Seating Charts

Monday, January 10, 2011

We have had a few bridal clients lately who have wanted to opt out of the "traditional" use of place cards (and assignment of 250 seats for their guests) in favor of the "Guest Map."  By creating a map or seating chart, guests can view which table they are assigned to as they arrive.

Here are some things to consider with a seating chart:

  • You can leave the seats open and only assign guests to tables.
  • You can still have fun naming or decorating your tables to the theme of your wedding.
  • Your guests won't spend 30 minutes finding their destination, assuming they can read a map!
  • You can cut printing costs by eliminating hundreds of pieces of paper.

When planning your seating chart, jazz it up and get just as creative as you would with your place cards. Add a border, your monogram, or a pretty frame. Choose a font that is easily readable yet describes the theme of the wedding.

Need help? Our very creative and talented graphics team is here 5 days a week during regular business hours to answer your designing needs. Make sure this is completed at least two weeks in advance to give yourself time to breathe and relax, knowing that one other item on your To Do List is checked off.

Happy Seating!
